Our talented Renovation Specialist achieved the doubted yet again, the team managed to renew and restore this charming and characteristic wood decking for a client in Blackburn. Although there showed clear signs from the beginning of neglect to this adequate sized American style wood decking, the finished piece was impressive, to say the least.
Phase One of the Decking Restoration in Blackburn
Our team began to wash deck thoroughly with water and a stiff bristle brush. This was just done to remove any moss from the surface, although the decking was to be sanded down with a belt floor sander built for the job. We had to Remove the previous wood stain with a long-handled stiff bristle brush.
Phase Two of the Decking Restoration in Blackburn
To provide an effective and long-lasting restoration, our team began to sand down the wood to prepare it for staining. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, we used a drum sander just made for the job; this was due to the size of the area we needed sand back to bare wood. We used 60 grit sandpaper, it took a bit longer than expected, but it was the correct decision to ensure permanent damage was avoided.
After an hour or near enough of just our Blackburn landscapers purely focusing on the floor area of the wood decking, we achieved our mission and provided ourselves with the space we desired. Like anything, preparation is key to most areas of construction, no matter how big or small the project is. Doing the job right the first time saves any concerns later on and with our years in the trade, we've learnt from this and come to abide by this one simple rule.
Phase Three of the Decking Restoration in Blackburn
The most critical and final point of the whole project of the Decking Restoration in Blackburn. We used a large brush and hand brushed the deck to apply the stain evenly. Once the Ronseal stain was applied appropriately throughout the decking floor, pillars and bannisters our team provided the decking in balckburn to fully dry which in our favour was quicker than usual due to the warm weather.
After this it was finally time for our last and final coat, this finishing application just completly brought our work together and now the blackburn landscaping team and our clients could see the outstanding transformation we had achieved.
